The Gilmore Girls will return in 2018 for a fourth season, the show’s creator and showrunner Amy Sherman-Palladino has announced.
In an interview with MTV News, Sherman-palladini, who is also executive producer of the show, said the series will be released in 2018.
“The Gilmore Girls, and the show I created, has always been a comedy show,” she said.
“It’s been a show for a lot of years and has grown in scope and breadth.
It’s a very long show, and it’s a lot bigger than what it was when I was creating it.
I think we’re all very happy that we’re able to bring it to an end, and I think it’s really important for fans that we have a new show.”
She said that when it comes to the new show, she feels the show will be much more than just a retelling of the original show.
“We’re very proud of Gilmore Girls for being the first comedy that really allowed people to be their own version of the characters and to have fun with them,” she explained.
“That’s what we wanted, to be able to say, ‘Look, we have the best version of you.
We have the most fun with you.
It really is a show of our own, and we want to make sure that’s what fans want.'”
The show has been a hit in the U.S. and internationally.
Sherman-performers have received critical acclaim for their performances, and fans have expressed their delight at the way they have become an integral part of the series’ universe.
The Gilmore girls’ final season will air on Netflix in 2018, and Sherman-Perkins said that the series is likely to be available on Hulu in 2018 as well.
